De laatste tijd gaat het goed met mijn ogen. Ik draag vrijwel de hele dag een lens en kan dus over het algemeen mijn werk goed doen. Oogdruk was bij de laatste meting 12 dus gaat langzaam omlaag zoals verwacht. De baerveldt implant is steeds minder zichtbaar in het oog omdat alles minder rood is geworden.
Het laatste gezichtsveldonderzoek (zie boven) liet geen achteruitgang zien.
Wel heb ik wat meer last van dubbelbeelden door onvolkomenheden in het hoornvlies. Omdat de dagen donkerder worden staat mijn pupil wijder open en zie ik bij scherpe contrasten licht dat verstrooid wordt door de rand van het transplantaat.
Gisteren had ik een controle in het UMC en heb dit ook aangegeven, de arts kon echter geen bijzonderheden aan mijn oog vinden dus alles lijkt in orde te zijn.
Alles gaat dus gewoon goed, en ik hoop dat dat zo blijft…

Lately there haven’t been any issues with my eyes. I can wear my lens the whole day so working fulltime is OK most of the time. My eye pressure is getting lower, 12 at the last measurement. The glaucoma implant is becoming less visible due to decreased redness in the eye. My last visual field examination showed no increase in the existing defects.
I did notice some slight problem with my sight, due to irregularities in the cornea strong light sources will sometimes cause flaring. The doctor checked it out but said that there was no problem with the eye in general, probably the flaring is caused by light scattered by the edges of the transplant.
So everything is OK and I hope it will stay that way in the future…
